It All Started When...
Our family headed back to the basics over 20 years ago when our children had health issues. God healed our children of asthma, and ADHD tendencies, by giving us wisdom to treat them nutritionally. That made us realize that when we get back to the basics of eating God’s “manna,” His Creation, we will experience health and healing.
Because of that experience, we slowly transitioned to “real” food. One of our main sources of “real” food was grain-rich foods. As a family, we would grind grains into flour for baking purposes. An opportunity in 2012, started our business milling the wheat we grow into flour for school systems. In addition to schools, we also used the fresh-milled flour to make homemade baking mixes which began our wholesale business. This first step in our business, provides living flour that helps others get as close to a wheat field when eating baked goods from our fresh-milled flour products in our homemade baking mixes.
The next step in our business, and us getting more and more back to the basics of eating God’s Creation, was in 2014. I, Ginger, failed a heart stress test and sought the Lord. After much research, praying, and Scripture affirmation, I felt led to treat myself nutritionally and went vegan. I had to find ways to be a healthy vegan, as I learned there are many people who are vegan but don’t eat quality food. I searched for plant protein mixes and found mass-produced plant protein mixes were so far removed from the point of nutrition. So I created my own plant protein blend with minimal ingredients. Nourished in 5 was created using 5 organic, raw seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, quinoa, chia, hemp) that we blend into a meal. To this day, I use that product each day in my smoothies to supply my protein needs. We provide recipes to show you other ways you can use it beyond a smoothie. This product is another example of getting back to the basics by providing quality, minimal ingredients for a protein blend. We added this product line to our wholesale business.

Then a year or two later, I was making elderberry syrup for our family to take during the winter. I realized others needed to have elderberry syrup in their homes to help boost their immune systems. So I created an elderberry syrup mix for the consumer to be able to make elderberry syrup. It was during this time, I was wrestling through words to depict my goal in my business. I came up with, “Nutrition from the Source.” My goal is to help others get Nutrition from the Source. The “Source” is God’s Creation. I knew there were elderberry syrups out there in the main-stream market. But didn’t know how to articulate why our elderberry syrup mix was superior. It slowly came to me. Since my mission is to create products that help people get Nutrition from the Source, my mix is so much more effective than the convenient already-made syrups because I provide the ingredients that get you as close to the point of nutrition as possible. Whereas, mass-produced syrup begins with a juice concentrate, our mix gives you the real ingredients. When those ingredients hit the hot water, they release their medicinal properties putting the consumer at the peak of potency! That convinced me to not partner with a co-packer to produce already-made syrup. I knew I could confidently proclaim that our elderberry syrup mix is most effective since we provide the ingredients in packaging with directions to make elderberry syrup that gives you Nutrition from the Source. The more we provide products with real ingredients, the more we are accomplishing that mission. This product was also added to our wholesale business.

In 2018, after 6 years of producing products to retailers, we opened a retail store on our property. We wanted to provide our community the opportunity to have access to the real food we purveyed for ourselves; to get back to the basics and eat quality foods from local sources. We provided a market to purchase grass-fed beef or pastured chicken/pork, in addition to local organic produce, and fresh baked bread for a complete meal. We also supported our Georgia Grown community by providing their products also. Everything in our store was organic, local, and/or Georgia Grown. The shortest distance from ingredients to food was produced in our kitchen also. Everything I ate was under the roof of our store. However, retail didn’t work out so now we’ve streamlined the products to provide them through our on-line market. Real food is still accessible to our community through pick-up or delivery, and beyond our community through shipping. (Note: some products are not available for shipping but will be noted in the description.)
We provide classes each month. These classes share what I have learned in my health journey and specific methods of how I do things. Classes will be based on the Word of God as the foundation. There are plenty of opinions of what is healthy and what is not. I look to the Bible to see what God says. Therefore, there will be weekly Bible studies to create community for those who also want to learn together.

As we get back to the basics, our philosophy of health has evolved into a theology of health-one that includes God. We truly believe the best way to stay healthy is to consume God-created foods. We are always looking for different ways to pass that on to you via products, convenience, classes, Bible studies, etc., so that you, too, can have an abundant life of health and wellness.
